Walking the Path of Devotion

What’s in a walk? Your whole life. Where you came from, where you’re going, what you’ve been through, what you carry, what you shed. Every step, every posture a vignette of your unique path of evolution.

Every act has the potential to become devotional. I practice the “andante” meditative walk as a way of re-connecting with myself, my environment and my purpose. Its rhythm and pace become devotional as my mind and body swing into synergy and I shift into fuller presence. My steps become prayers, my gestures invocations, every breath a dialogue with destiny.

Devotion is the song of recognition we sing back to our souls, reverberating through us into the Universe. Devotion is how we serve humanity by helping express the dreams of the world-soul into material time and space. And it can live in our every movement.

So, walk with me for a spell. Watch the video. Listen to the “Andante” and sink into the symbolism of the walk and gestures. You could put this piece of music on headphones and walk with it out in nature, letting its slow, contemplative energy lull you into a meditative state. How do you feel? What comes up for you in your sacred walk?
