Working with embodied modalities for over 30 years, such as dance, somatics and biomechanics, I began focusing on therapeutic movement for the pelvis in 2007.
 
I developed Pelvic Floor Barre to help women of all ages revitalize the pelvic floor, hips and core. Realizing that key movements and drills used by dancers to prepare the body for training have profound therapeutic possibilities, I crafted Pelvic Floor Barre to help women befriend the region and re-frame their relationship with it.
 
Over the years, I’ve taught Pelvic Floor Barre around the world to hundreds of women.   
In my classes, workshops and private sessions, I lead a gentle, incremental journey into the joints and muscle groups of the pelvic bowl.  Centering, opening, releasing and toning exercises are assisted by the floor, support props and breath integration.

Participants report greatly increased mobility and release throughout the region, with the toning exercises bringing marked improvements in muscle tone and energy flow. They cite the benefits of Pelvic Floor Barre for incontinence, prolapse, post-partum and injury healing.

Discover the power of belly dance with deep stretches, isolation and rhythmic muscle work that will burn calories and tone key muscle groups. Set to funky world dance beats.

Middle Eastern Dance teaches us to dance from the inside out.  When I became a professional bellydance performer and teacher in 2003, I used my theater-arts background in biomechanics to help break the movements down so that students could access them quickly and easily.  Training in World Dance Aerobics with Keti Sharif in 2004 opened my eyes to the tremendous fitness potential of easy, rhythmic, low-impact movement.  
 
Bellyfit offers a curated musical experience with simplified core mid-east dance sequences for a fun, lively class.  Stretches, breath, light technique and fun combos get participants dancing right away to warm up, hit a cardio peak, and cool down.
